Beta access, pricing, and when free becomes paid
Who gets in, what costs nothing through January 2027, what costs $9.90/mo afterward, and what changes when the private beta opens up.
MOVON Match is in private beta. This page lays out who has access, what it costs through the free window, what it will cost after, and what changes when the private beta opens up to anyone who wants it.
Where the build stands today
MOVON Match is pre-release. No public version has shipped yet. The build runs end-to-end (Analyze, group, hero, .cube per camera), with one-click apply through MOVON's own effect in active development. The "private beta" label means access is being rolled out gradually to early users rather than published as a public download.
There is no fictional version number on this site; the changelog shows where the build honestly stands, and the dispatch on the homepage carries each cut as it lands.
Who gets in to the private beta
Early access goes out in waves through the /download signup. The list is read in order, in small batches, so the feedback from each wave shapes what lands in the next build.
Two things move the list:
- Multicam projects in progress. Editors actively cutting two- or three-camera projects right now see the build first. The feedback loop is faster because the match has somewhere to land.
- Camera variety. A signup that names cameras MOVON has not seen much of (specific drones, smaller-sensor cinema cameras, less common LOG profiles) helps the training corpus more than another FX6/C70 pair, so those go out faster.
There is no waitlist position to game and no payment to skip the queue. Signup is a single email at /download.
What it costs in the private beta
Nothing. The private beta is fully free.
That includes:
- The Premiere panel and the local match engine.
- Every match the panel runs.
- All future updates that ship inside the private beta window.
There is no credit card to enter, no trial limit, no watermark on the output, no per-project cap, no clip-count cap.
What changes after January 2027
The free window runs through January 31, 2027. After that date, MOVON moves to paid pricing:
- $9.90 per month, or
- $99.90 per year (two months free versus monthly).
These are the prices MOVON Labs has committed to publicly. They are subject to a 90-day notice if anything about the structure changes; that notice would land on this page and in the dispatch before any change takes effect.
January 2027 is the free-window expiry, not a product ship or general-availability date. The product is what it is today (private beta, with the roadmap items in active development), and it will be whatever it is on that date; the change at the end of January 2027 is the price, not the version.
Grandfathered access for early users
Users who installed MOVON before the cutoff keep grandfathered access to a free tier after January 2027. The terms of that free tier are published 90 days before the launch date (so by early November 2026 at the latest).
The intent is straightforward: the editors who used the build through its private-beta years should not be charged retroactively for the goodwill that made the build better. The exact shape of the free tier (match count? camera count? feature set?) is the question being worked out now.
What about teams and studios
Team and studio pricing has not landed yet. The current single-seat price is the only commitment.
For a studio that wants to run MOVON across multiple seats today, the private beta is the right entry point: install on every machine that needs it, the workflow is the same, no per-seat fee through the free window. Multi-seat licensing structure for after January 2027 is on the planning list; the homepage Contact form is the way to flag a specific team need so the structure accounts for it.
How to get in
Sign up at /download. One email, no account, no card. Early-access invitations go out in waves; when an invitation lands, the install path is at Install.
