What color data is

Color data means the measurements the plugin derives from a clip's image: the numbers that describe its color and its tone. It carries no picture, no audio, no filename and no project information, and it cannot be turned back into your footage. Everywhere this document says color data, that is what it means. Color data is the only thing derived from your pictures that is ever sent. The plugin also sends account and fault information that has nothing to do with your images, and the section on fault reports below lists exactly what that is.

Your footage stays on your machine

MOVON Match installs a docked panel in Premiere. When Analyze runs, the plugin reads color from the timeline and sends that color data to MOVON's AI on MOVON's servers, which builds the match and returns the finished match. Your footage, your frame images, and your project data are never uploaded. Of everything the plugin reads from your pictures, only the color data needed for the match leaves your machine.

An account and a connection

The match runs on MOVON's servers, so the beta uses your MOVON account and an internet connection. When you sign in, MOVON Labs stores your email, a device identifier for each machine you connect from, and a record of each match you run (how many clips, when, on which device). This runs your account, enforces plan limits, and counts credits, not to study how you edit. MOVON sends only the color data needed to build the match, never your footage or project.

What MOVON Match does not do

MOVON does not track how you edit: no timeline contents, panel clicks, or session recordings leave your machine. It does not upload your footage, your frame images, or your project files, and does not read scratch disks or clips outside the timeline being analyzed. It does keep a count of the matches you run, because that is how credits work.

Fault reports and usage counts

MOVON Match reports faults and counts work. A fault report carries the error itself plus the versions you are running, your macOS version and, where it helps, the tail of the installer's own output; a usage record is the count of clips in a run, when it happened and how long it took. The plugin also sends a daily signal that it is installed and working, and tells us when it is removed, which is the only way we can tell someone who stopped using MOVON from someone who simply has not opened Premiere this week.

Be clear on one point: these records are tied to your account, because a fault we cannot trace back to a person is a fault we cannot help that person with. They are not anonymous. What is true is how they are used: individually to fix your problem and reach you about it, and in aggregate to decide what to build and what to repair next. They are never sold, never shared with anyone outside MOVON Labs, and never used to train the model.

No footage of any kind is in any of this. Fault reports and usage records carry no stills, no video, no project files and no timeline contents. Paths and log output are stripped of your macOS account name before they are sent.

Nothing of yours trains the model

MOVON Labs does not use your footage, your color data, or the matches you run to train or improve its model. The engine is trained on MOVON's own licensed and generated material. Your work is used to answer your request and for nothing else.

How long we keep things

Account data lives as long as the account. Close the account and MOVON Labs deletes it within 30 days, with backups gone within 60. Usage records are kept while the account is open, because credits depend on them. Fault reports are kept for 12 months and then deleted. Color data is not kept at all: it is used to compute your match and discarded, so there is no store of it to ask about, to leak, or to delete. The website email list keeps an address until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be removed.

Who we work with

MOVON runs on MOVON Labs' own servers in Türkiye. Two kinds of outside help touch data: a hosting provider that supplies the server, and an email service (Resend, operated by Plus Five Five, Inc.) that delivers sign-in links and news emails. Resend is a United States company and its own suppliers are in the United States, so an email address and the contents of the emails MOVON Labs sends you are handled there. Neither provider may use your data for anything else. This list changes only with an update to this document.

Security and incidents

Data travels to MOVON's servers encrypted, and only the MOVON Labs team can reach the systems that hold it. Sign-in is passwordless, so there is no password of yours for anyone to steal. If an incident ever affects your data, MOVON Labs will tell you what happened and what is being done about it, without undue delay.

The website is separate

movonlabs.com is an ordinary marketing site. The beta signup form asks for five things: first name, last name, email address, country, and what you do. The names address you properly in email, the email address is how the beta reaches you, the country tells MOVON Labs which laws and which release schedule apply to you, and the role helps decide what to build. All five are sent to MOVON's account service to create your beta record, and the email address alone is used for beta and launch news. Nothing is passed to anyone for advertising. An unconfirmed signup is deleted after 12 months. Write to hello@movonlabs.com to have any of it removed sooner.

Website cookies and analytics

movonlabs.com sets no advertising cookies and loads no third-party trackers. Privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics counts page views and a short fixed list of actions, such as pressing a button or opening the plan list, without recording who did them. The Cookies document lists them.

A cloud option, later

An optional cloud match engine is on the roadmap for after launch. If it ships, it will be exactly that: optional, off by default, and described in a revised version of this document before anyone can turn it on.

Who can use MOVON

MOVON is a professional tool and is not directed at children. You need to be at least 16 to create an account.

User rights

To ask what data MOVON Labs holds on your account, or to have it removed, write to hello@movonlabs.com. Requests are honored within 30 days. Users in Türkiye keep their rights under the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK No. 6698), and users in the EU, UK, California, and other jurisdictions with stronger laws keep their statutory rights. MOVON Labs does not contract them away.

Changes to this document

When this document changes in a way that matters, MOVON Labs will say so in the plugin or by email, and the version number and date below will move. What will not happen is a quiet widening of what MOVON collects. If the answer to what leaves your machine ever changes, you will be told before it changes, not after.
